Salmon & Grilse

I had a bit of luck on the Nith today.I was fishing a sink tip line and 3/4" copper tube tied by one of my mates.Ten minutes after starting I hooked the bigger of the two fish

and after a spirited fight it was in the net,9 1/2lb with about 25 sea lice on it

 

Five minutes after starting again I was into the smaller fish which was hooked in the same spot,again it had sea lice on it and weighed 4 1/2 lb.With two fish in the bag I

was forced to stop as I'd reached the our limit.The pics do not do the fish justice.

i had two fish the night before last mate,one at 11lb and one at six verry similar in size eh ?

 

 

cant wait till next week till i get a day off and get back out there !

nice fish was there many more caught on the nith i fish the annan had 8 for the week 3 salmon biggest 15lb big cock fish 5 grilse only 1 of them clean enough to take but put them all back caught them on cascade & flamethrower

It wasnt a farmed fish.It was caught on the north east coast line 2006.
