I'm going to get another 50 yard tho as the hedges we do are quiet long so the plan is to run two 5os eather side and then put 5yard furter up and down at 90 degrees incase any runn up the hedge and pop out further up Quote Link to post
bullx100% 681
Been out with the nets for a couple hour..whent back to a spot that me and a mate have permison on..was a nice day slight breeze bit sunshine and some real nice ground to work..set up the nets and sliped the ferts in...couple minits and 1 bolted but gt under the net (due to my mates netting skills)lol then another one bolted got under the net again but then turned back from a open field back in to the net!!! Lol was lucky get that one lol..so we moved further up the hedge line but no bolters ended up having two nightmare digs..tried another set with the purse nets wich acounted for a nice bolter realy quickly..tried another set right next to the car the set turned out longer than we thought so we positioned the nets best we could..one bolted and in to the nets wich my mate grabbed but let go it ran off up the field and back in to the nets again ...!! Lucky again lol all in all tho a good day in good company and acouple in the bag Quote Link to post

Fly The Boy 339
A lot of people are using these long nets, too much distance between the net shorten the distance use 11 yard stop nets 4 of them 2 each side, purse net the easy holes if u don't get him coming out u will back net him go ning back in the hole, try and shorten distance or they will only hole hop no need to cover the field u stand out there no rabbit will run that big field ur standing there rabbit just wants to get away from the ferret down the hedge safety of another hole people think u can do a complete hedge with these they have there place, end of a hedge stop cutting corners, small fields, holes out in the middle of fields, when I hear a lot of peoples talk about how much they use them no purse nets all I think is hole hoppers u get a lot of hoppers where land is lamped 4 nets 11yards long few purse nets the gear some people bring u would want the army with u to carry it,that's not sport that's a hard days work,5 of them are enough.
