u can beat a good trier Andy :thumbs: u don't half get some cracking photos of thm dogs...one of me whippets it blind in one eye and he still works well on the lamp and ferreting thy soon get use to it :D....all the dogs are looking in tip top condition as always mate, keep up the good work bud atb jacob

Last couple of days has seen me out and about with a mutt or two..yesterday i took the lads scruffy feckers plus my buddy Ruby the Pom x..one of my other lads had the others away and alas old Swift is

So earlier today i loaded the motor up with Don the cur x and Boots the Saluki x plus the Pom lol..weather was lovely at ground level but as i got higher up the fell the bloody mist rolled in and visi

Its all pretty much hills around here Paul you have to get used with it matey unless you just want to use the beach every day instead?...i enjoy it matey,just my knees and back disagree with me but until i can't physically make it i will keep plodding away..to be honest my lads do the majority of the hunting these days with the dogs,im happy to keep my toe in so to speak with a trip now and again so im just a has been according to my lot haha but i like to keep the dogs in order and feed them etc.. :whistling: these lot in here can't tune em up like the old fella :D

Fuji have you ever thought of using a tracking collar on your dogs as you said don went off into the forrest for a while just for piece of mind ?

I dont really know anything about them Paul but i reckon they would be invaluable where i go..whats the craic with them? Where can you get em etc?

ive been thinking about that and wondered how you find yours andy as over the last few weeks ive spent a good few hours tracking mine up the hills all well and good when found and a freezer filled though ..........how do you do it ??

Steve its not easy lol..I did lose one a couple of weeks ago..it crossed a river and I thought fook that I will go all the way around via the foot bridge I knew it was down as I heard it but by the time I toddled myself to the bridge the dog swam back across the river..I searched high and low for nigh on four hours but the forest is huge it was like looking for a needle in a haystack..thats the only one ive not found but it wont be the last if I continue to mooch about in the same area but a tracker would be of no use unless the mutt stayed and generally they all do but that day I was a long owld way from the crossing ... its hard graft buddy aint it haha

your telling me, my pal for some reason stays put with the radio incase they return so he says lol, but muggins here does the search and every time its from half hour to a couple of hours twice in the same day last week both times it was a good hour up and down the bloody hills lol.

Keep you fit Steve either that or kill you lol..sometimes im glad when the dog comes back rather quickly especially if its on a steep part or like a fooking jungle where you need a machete to make a path through...why do we do it for crying out loud haha

When you set off on a high that high soon comes down when your blowing out of your arse marching up hill getting cut to ribbons thinking why oh why me hahaha but id rather be out blowing out of my arse than stuck indoors :thumbs:
