Country Joe 1,411
A good morning, dog marking well, and well pleased with a sandy Jill I acquired last August, I took a chance with her, normally I would not have taken her, but she caught my eye, as her dam never worked. She is bred from a long line of workers, but her dam has never worked, but had bred a litter previous, and the ones that went to workers did well, with some of the Lads returning for this litter. She has only been out a handful of times, and has bolted 8 Rabbits, she has never had a lie up, it would be interesting to see if she will stick with the Rabbit, should be a good wee ferret next Season. Tried Netriggers Trammel stop net, at the back of a fence, only a couple of burys could have purse netted them, but wanted to see how this net holds them. Entered ferret a few rumbles and a rabbit hopped out, and sat looking at the net, no sign of the ferret, I then let the dog run towards the fence, and the Rabbit flew in. No need to hurry over the fence, this Rabbit was going nowhere, I know there's a few don't like them, but they certainly can hold. Ended up with 6 good rabbits, sorry no pics, once again forgot the camera, old school you see. Young Jill bolted three, didnt want to sicken her, and three to my older Jill.
