the_stig 6,614 Posted January 8, 2014 Report Share Posted January 8, 2014 just got a call from the doctor after the results of my scan last week i`ve got 2 bad tendon tears in my shoulder --and he`s referring me to a surgeon --- it needs sorting but i`m well pissed off looks like 4-6 weeks rest and in a sling then 8-12 of physio ---- anyone one had this op ?http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00406 ----- max if your looking in get yours looked at mate.. Maybe if you gaffa taped yourself to Bird, side on, like Siamese twins, you both could have a fully functioning days hunting....! although i`m retired the thought of being stuck with 3-4 months of not being able to do much is already doing my head in old age creeping up on me and years of painting pylons ....had a shit few year i was hoping 2014 was gonna be a bit better 4 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Not had the shoulder done but I had each leg braced up for 12 weeks each last year, and 4 out of each of those 12 weeks I had the movement restricted. I'd say get it done now mate if it's giving you gyp. It obviously ain't going to get any better on it's own and if you put it off until you're older your body will find it harder to recover. While waiting for a Op ask for a cortisone injection. Helps no end. had em mate dont know what the waiting list is like round here .... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
