cocpops 19
I have been really lucky, I got my Cocker Spaniel bitch for only £150 she turned out to be an absolute dream. Really smart great in the field, water and also at home with the kids. I've never bred dogs but would love to keep the line as she's so smart. I've started read books on what to do etc regards breeding, and step one is finding a suitable match. As she is very smart I'd prefer finding a similarly clever dog. I think the norm is for the stud dog owner to get the pick of the litter. If you have a Smart dog and would consider breeding him let me know. Admin: Sorry looks like I've posted on wrong page can you re-post please in the correct place. Thanks Edited January 7, 2014 by cocpops Quote Link to post
kruby01 114
Your dog being smart isn't a good enough reason to breed IMO, the country is overrun with dogs! 1 Quote Link to post

bobhow 57
its not that simple if it was we would all be breeding the best field trial champs ,derby winning horses, greyhound derby winning muts genetics does not work like that if only it was that simple Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
f**k me, his dogs smart in the field, the water while working and is what he calls a dream ! what other reasons is there to breed, if not those.?? Better than profit I would say. Pity I hadn`t decided that I should have bred my cocker until he was too old to breed. He is another £150 dream dog, Best beating spaniel I`ve ever seen. Good luck finding the right dog bud Quote Link to post
