Had one similar 4wks ago, saw it run over a brow - went to check and follow what I thought would be the doe's least passage of resistance to run and no signs at all anywhere, think a lot of folk would have given up after half an hour looking without a dog but decided to look more up hill behind the brow and found a blood trial that led to the doe being found 40yrds away in rushes - relieved was an understatement and show's one should never give up looking until all options have been exhausted.
