HSE manager was well happy with my RA & MS, had to give him insurance and liability waiver and he's off to the plant manager to rubber stamp! The deputy manager is a mate of 15 years, so have asked him to put a good word in....looking possitive!!

That's how I'm ending up if you see somebody pull the gun in and drive past with a silencer on the air arms you won't hear it a hundred yards away .as health and safety said low profile

Like yourself, after paying for an external contractor coming in and supplying unsatisfactory results I got permission and the company to purchase a TX200 Mk3, scope and lamping equipment to cater for the ferals both outside and inside the premises.

Luckily I am the H&S Manager so I was deemed competent to create both the risk assessment and Method statement, I was also in a position to negotiate with one of the national pest control companies to attend their air rifle marksman course with another employee, which incorporates the legislation and methods of dispatch and carcass destruction. The Local authorities are happy with what i have produced and that i only shoot within the boundary and not towards the edge as the public can be walking past. (N.B the rifle is made safe if joe public is spotted via CCTV and the radio call comes in. (sometimes I require the use of a spotter if shooting inside and that's stipulated within the method statement).

If you're shooting alone make sure the lone worker assessment covers you as well but I'm sure your H&S Manager has already thought of that.

just for the by the by... can you turn your gun right down for set area's etc and still hit, i seem to recal a few pest controllers using the rapids back in the day so they could set up shot to shot. just a thought that may aid in further works, more for indoor work about factries and the likes.

chair gun charts may help, purdy coloured charts to bring in that pie chart fever at the office lol.
