Anyone Using Teckels?

I'd be interestested to know if anyone uses teckels.I've used the very good serch facility at the top but Im after a pup to train to eventually for deer stalking,but as yet although I've been in touch with various breeders,I'm yet to see the different size,ie mini and standard, and I was undecisive,now Im not so sure.

I really would like to know what if any difference ther are in sizes preferably wire haired for hunting.

Does anyone use Teckel x on here. My family has approved our next dog as long as it is a small dog, so I was looking at the wirehaired teckel / daschunt but they are so expensive so was considering a cross.

i've always owned a teckel for boar hunting. Very good nose, applied. In France teckels are used to research blood, to stalk or to dig out. But they are specialized.

 

Generaly, we have standard wire hair.

My intention is to train mutley for tracking the deer I've shot,and to scent/wind unshot deer.

I appreciate all your feedback.
