That Jim is turning my kids Scottish, Arya looking braw in her wee dress off Uncle Jim.

Last years comp was much more than fishing in the end, it turned into a good social event aswell and that is what I want to try and achieve. The job stewie did for the last one was second to none and

It's took me over 2 years of reading lots and posting next to fook all to feel the time was right to meet a load of strangers in a field for maggot dangling and camping, lol, kicking myself a bit now for leaving it so long as I met some sound genuine lads this weekend, from the minute I got there I was pretty much in stitches laughing or learning a bit.... not a bad word to say about anyone, even, the fookers that accused me of bat cruelty...Pmsl.

Fair play to you johnnyboy (and the entire Welsh crew),turned out tidy butty.

Everyone pitched in one way or another, big do's like this can be fkin hard work if it's left to a few, it wasn't.

Well done all.

This otter likes his faggots apparently, he "can do a faggot".....his own words!!!!!...pmsl

Right sorted now, fkin predictive text, that was fkin gibberish...lol

Only downside was opening the cool box just now and having to dump a massive bag of quality sausage that had gone sour, fkin hate waste, especially quality grub, still ain't sure why I ended up with all the sausage, managed to save a few bags of the raw and socks stuff, there in the freezer now.

I'll take some to new kid and whitevanman next month.

Great to see the old boys and meet the new faces.

I'll put a bit up later... But just to let you all know, we raised £1020.00 pound this weekend, the raffle, the auction, closest to the bottle were all great and the lads dug deep again.. Thanks a lot boys it was great!!

I've just put the money in my account and it'll be on the just given page today..

Fair play mate, you put a fair bit into making this weekend a success

Back home, sorted and all put away.

Over a grand!! with more to come hopefully. Superb effort. A big thank you to the Welsh boys, a great job. Good BBQ skills last night as well. Sorry to leave this morning without saying good by to the "Pond Side Dwellers" Or helping clear up. I just got hooked up and left.

My highlight of the weekend was saving that Bat that was hung up on some fishing line. A good team effort there. Followed closely by the language used by the Otter after loosing that fish.

One thing I will say. I was a little sceptical about the comp going to a Carp venue, with how the comp thing all came about in the first place. But i'll hold my hand up and say that it was for the better that it was held there. Most caught fish, the river the day before was difficult and was going through sharpish, so would have been hard fishing for the 20 odd of us. Other than a Pub (That I didn't think was missed anyway) the venue was spot on. Maybe this type of venue, for this type of competition, is the way to go in the future. I think so.

.........Just one last thing.

Arch. ;)

You grafted for that win arch, well deserved, quick thinking on our little dangling friend an all!

As for next year, can't wait. Let's get the date fixed early on and then we can all start planning, I think jb's logic is good, same as previous year, one before the bank holiday, is the way forward, not sure we'd suit a campsite over a bank holiday weekend lol.

It was nothing at all really mate in comparison to the effort plenty of others put in, helps slow my piss intake down if I'm occupied for a few hours an all, I'd of probably ended up on the colostomy bag talking dribble at Joe if I wasn't doin a bit , lol

The bottle of whiskey racked up a grand total of £157 which is the most expensive bottle of whiskey these hounds will lay eyes on
