socks 32,253
I think the lake should be fished on the Sunday ... Gives lads time to arrive on the Saturday chill out sort their shit out and get ready for the comp on the Sunday ... Also anybody in the comp should not fish the lake until the day of the competition unfair advantage otherwise ... There are other lakes on site to fish or people can go to the wye for a fish ... Just my take on it .........

Ideation 8,216
Ok I think I agree - On that willow pond (which we are renting) - no one to fish it until the Sunday. But other ponds are there if you fancy a cast. J.B and I might go up and check out the place in general for a day and fish the two smaller ponds. Get up there saturday ago / eve, have a good knees up, maybe go to local pub etc. . . . Then fish Sunday daytime for the comp, finish at a set time, and have a prize giving, raffle, bbq etc in the field on the Sunday eve. If folk want to hire out the lake and fish sunday night for their own fun, or a sub night time comp lol, the lake can be hired for an additional £50 quid. We are getting some bits cheaper than it says on the site, cos they guy is subbing us for charity and because we are a good sized group. If anyone is down on the saturday daytime, you could fish the wye, we can help you get info on the town stretch in monmouth, which is about 10 / 15 mins away tops. Also in monmouth there is a number of pubs, supermarkets etc. If anyone is down friday night and needs a place to stay, we can point you toward a b&b or if you are really nice then I might let you camp in my field, or on my lawn Anyone else down saturday daytime, who isn't fishing the wye etc and fancies a mooch, give me a bell as i'll be around. We can sort some cheap cash and carry booze and do it for cost on site, and i'm going to go chat up a local brewery. Does that cover everything?

No boilies over 10mm and barbless only... Just hope that I bought banger holds out
