Bushing With Lurchers?

Hi guys

 

Was wondering how many of you get out bushing?

I was wondering what you think is best to use alongside the lurchers? Be it terriers, terrierx, spanial, spanial x etc?

Or would you let your lurchers bush for you?

we use all sorts whippets , paterdales , plumer terriers then lurchers on the out side does the trick for us

if im just going the local woods my lurcher works the cover and does quite well with a little help from me he marks them and i knock f**k out the the bush with a stick or jump in try it youll be surprised what you catch

Staffords!!!!!!!

Been bushing a lot with a lad I met on here who has a springer great cover dog but the Staffords do well to.

I'm sure you could teach your dog to open up. I doubt it would take much training.

One of our best bushers is a mally,marks,hunts,and bushes like a terrier pushes her way in most places and will catch on top if they make a mistake on short runs

I like little old fashioned jack russell terriers for tight cover......there's a good little bushing section if you haven't seen it yet.

ive got 3 beddy whippets for bushing and ferreting they will work in bramble and nettles any cover . but then again my bull x greyhound will smash into bramble if she cant get in she starts ripping them out .... i seen a man with a teckle other week anyone seen one working? looked a handy little dog ...........
