Ibracadabra 5
When I bought my two hobs (both 6 months and same litter) I was amazed by the difference in size. Neither of the two are big ferrets and are roughly equal in size now but when I first got them one I would consider a healthy weight and size and the other was tiny and really skinny. I was just wondering whether kits establish a hierarchical system early in life and whether there are 'runts' in ferret litters? Just some extra info- the one I considered the 'runt' is the best tempered ferret I have ever encountered in handling terms but is also the feistiest little blighter too! Quote Link to post
Andrew Beirne 78
oh there is runts alright that's how the falconers get there micros I still have a picture of her and she's tiny and she is 6 months she's an absolute character but what she lacks in size she makes up for in bossiness she is definitely the boss out of my four Quote Link to post
Ibracadabra 5
When I first got them he wouldn't let my larger hob get near the food bowl until he'd had his fill! Love his character haha Quote Link to post

I had a runt of the litter too hoping she would sty small, like you she is beautiful temprement never once even nipped but she's not small anymore and a real character she's lovely but did mature a lot slower than the two "normal" ferrets Quote Link to post
