I thought it could be diet so took off dry food and put on raw tripe with a small bit of dry food to make up the quantity put sulphur rock in water [was told it cools the blood] its still visible on dog -any ideas ? thankyou -billy Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Keep it as fit as possible so it's adjusted to the increased body heat that exercise brings, take a bottle of water and give little sips now and then, wet skin abdo, inner thigh etc or let it into streams if poss. Huan72 687 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Share Posted January 10, 2014 I cant tell from that picture but when it comes to heat, always pay mind to your dogs build, a stockier dog has less surface area for its weight to radiate heat from and can be more prone to over heating. Having a staffy, when I'm out in the summer, I always carry several litres of water and keep a mental note of were the water troughs are in my normal places. Its the same with people, a tall skinny person will suffer from the cold more than a short stocky person, well that's the theory anyway 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
