The Seeker 3,048
Although these tricks look easy and impromptu they have probably been practiced and set up for weeks. I watched a program last year on a guy called Titanic Thompson. He was a hustler who earns money betting people on certain feats that seemed impossible. One time he bet a crowd that his dog was so intelligent it could do almost anything, when challenged he said "OK lets go down to the lake and I'll prove it," he bet anyone that was willing to bet that his dog would retrieve a stone from the lake that he threw in not only that it would be able to retrieve his exact stone. He picked up a large pebble and scratched his initials and threw it 20 yards Into the lake and sent his dog after it. Sure enough the dog swam out picked up a stone from the lake and brought it back and it was his stone with is initials on it, everyone was astounded and paid up. What they didn't know was he'd been there every day for weeks throwing a stone in a specific areas and training the dog to retrieve a stone, then he sunk hundreds of stones with his initials scratched on them in the area before doing the bet.. I agree he wasn't a magician, he was a hustler and made millions doing similar tricks but nothing is left to chance with these guys.
