Thatcher.......even More Lies

Recommended Posts

Todays politicians have told lies and spun the truth, taking us into a war that led to the loss of British lives and at the same time removing the only man who could control the population. Look at the state of Iraq now. They haven't stopped there, the BS just keeps on coming, believe nothing of what you hear, half of what you see and assume that every politician is out to fleece you and the truth will be in your grasp

Well said that man

She may have saved the Southern half of the country. But certainly fcuked the Northern half up good and proper.

Virtually 30 years on and still my area(and surrounding) are not over the pit closures. Very far from it in fact. Stick a few factory units up and employ a couple of dozen folk then ship out and say"

No, she saved it !

Virtually 30 years on and still my area(and surrounding) are not over the pit closures. Very far from it in fact. Stick a few factory units up and employ a couple of dozen folk then ship out and say" yeah thats that area sorted". Its a joke and not a very funny one. This area had 1 and 1 only asset to rely on and that was coal mining. As Wilf said earlier in the thread.. Look what the North achieved (car manafacture). Sadly nowhere near my area so no benefit from that to be seen here. This area is as run down as it was in 1985 straight after the pit closures. Sadly some area's just get forgotten and my area seems to be one of these. Hats off to the area's that climbed out of the douldrum's. Easy to say forget about it. Some things just don't go away so it's very hard to forget about what stare's you in the face everyday.

That's a fair comment stabba. But I can't help but wonder what the alternative would have been? And by my logic, it looks a lot worse mate. JMO on what I see.

I wish we'd got her in number 10 at the moment, this country wouldn't be putting up with the liberal half fanny crap it deals with from the EU that's for sure.

I mean where are the strong leaders the ones not just willing to say anything or do anything to appease everyone, where are the Thatchers, the Churchills that stand up and say "look you may not like it but we need to do it so wipe your mouth and get on with it." No we are left with 2 bit smiling politicians allowing terrorists to slander and preach hate about the country without the balls to do anything about it.

I feel sorry what happened to the miners and families, it was terrible, my family went through similar when the steel works closed but they were losing vast quantities of money and the unions wanted more and more it had to change.

Some will and some wont, There is an old pit near me I could go and dig it up with a spade. Maggie didn't know that 30 odd years ago, same as they don't know now what will happen in 30 odd years. Going green is mainly a number fudging exercise.

To right mate Mike Ashley built the main base for his sports warehouse on the old pit top were I live, there's now a 1000 Eastern Europeans a day goin to work up there, the towns flooded with em! Next door to me there 5 deep on the living room floor. Best thing is the jobs there were supposed to go to locals for the regeneration of the coalfields. I was born 3 years after the strike but still living with the reprocussions.
