Characteristic Of Wheeler /spartacus Dogs

Recommended Posts

Seen a few wheeler blooded dogs , and yes they can be timid ...

timid is a bit of an understatement mate I've seen a few that crawl around on their belliesand p**s themselves when you try to touch them.I've also seen them hiding under their beds trashed when you look in their kennels.

The Wheeler type line i know of is a far from timid but then again the man is quiet and unassuming.Sometimes ,just sometimes the owner can bring about a wreck of a dog without meaning to .The Sparticus line is im afraid all but gone now though a lot of lads mention the name when talking breeding .

Dunno much about those Wheeler dogs, when they hit the back pages of 'certain mags' they all just reminded me of bigger versions of those mini bully Nuttall dogs that got themselves real messed up on the simplest of jobs... (Too much bull IMO..(?)

The Spartacus dog was, I remember, full of himself. Though Gouldie's line produced plenty that were very timid and in all those I seen, it didn't make one bit of difference to working ability.

Never seen those types 'lumped' together before, like its the 'norm' (???) most have either gone with one or the other..

both lines would go back to the breay/buck line ,Spartacus line via his Dam the wheeler stuff from the Nuttall blood .... both also have one other thing in common they have bull in them , maybe the fawning nature of some of these hybrids comes from the bull blood
