The life or career of a working terrier differes greatly among terriers.Some may only be complete sounders and more complete nut cases but both will get the job done.The sounder should go on to live and work for many years where as a hard dog will be lucky to see half the amount of work and the lifespan of the sounder,does this make the sounder any better,imo no,they just have different workstyles same as a footballers career will last 15-20 year where as a tradesman will go for 40+.I have read on here a lot of people saying that a hard dog will eventually spew with the style they work,i know of several terriers that are 8-9 seasons working and pure mute and also worked hard.I also seen complete sounders come away after maybe 5-6 seasons of working while there is no reason for them to do so as they aint geting hurt.Nothing in this life is guarenteed bar death and that is guarenteed for us all and our dogs.Everytime you put a dog in the ground and you successfully dig it back out along with the quarry your dog has done the job for you dont matter if its 10 digs or 100.
