FERRETBOY 680
fly and fern are now 26 weeks and are 23"tts,training is coming on a treat and they retrieve the rabbit fur dummy very well and fly retrieved her first rabbit after bramble caught it on a evening walk. recall is also getting better fly loves swimming as far as it takes to retrieve a stick but fern isnt as brave but will also venture out into the water when chasing fly.they are both very good at jumping ,fern abit more better than fly when it comes to small fences but fly would also after a little encuragment eventhough she will jump up and be able to lick your face when she welcomes you .they were wormed once again as its been 6 weeks since they were last wormed .they are both very good with the ferrets and and are showing little interest in the sheep we encounter on our walks.they are both showing interest in rabbits and fly caught her first at 25 weeks, lucky for us it had early signs of mixy but i was very happy with flys determination, turning and striking to say it was the first rabbit she had a chance of a good run on. well we are both looking forward to working these two and bringing them on with the lamp.heres a few pics and a small video of flys first course. FERRETBOY 680
thanks for the comments everyone .little_lloyd im not sure if that was pointed at me (im guessing it was) but you might not of noticed that we were walking on stubble and everyone knows that when walking on stubble it is very noisy.well we were about 25 or so yards away from were the pup started the run and there was another rabbit sat beside the rabbit in the video and it flew into the hedge so by staying that much longer we already had an idea that this rabbit had myxy .Also our pups run alot more dangerously after each other, so i cant see why letting them do there own thing whilst we are walking and have the very odd run will do them any harm.thanks again good hunting rew Quote Link to post
