lord verminator 75
Went to a spot were normaly they ping out of but not this time, in goes bitch nets on and sit back.watching what's happend on bellman bitch is all over with quarry. 30 mins goes by and we get a mark of 8ft. So shovel in and never seen out like it running sand. Got down 7ft and it fills up about 4ft again bit of a panic in mine and my pals face but wat can u do bottom it out again and another 2-3ft drops in again more panic and worry for the bitch, bottom out again and the last bit we just took out real slow and steady broke thru and bitch poked her head out grabbed her straight back on the coupling we sat back and waited for quarry to bolt but we herd the sand collapse again and filled it by about 5ft. Not the best end but just happy to get bitch back. Wobt be working them sand earths again in a hurry. 1 Quote Link to post

BOLSTER 808
If you have to work a sand Earth again dig just behind the terrier & just trench in a bit , saves it all collapsing on the terrier , not all times though , good luck glad you got the bitch back. 1 Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
You need to dig the back of the hole level with the front at least as far back as the spoil needs to go .Do this before you start and in conjuntion with a bigger hole youll be ok .Also we like to put a step in it at that depth .Dont allow anyone to walk around the edges either .Sounds a fuss but we dig it all the time here with the added two layers of stone we have locally to contend with .Saying all that you did the right thing to lift bitch when you did .
