Hurlock 114
SG can't find the thread but I'm sure one of the Irish lads bred a litter of cocker x russells just for the job of flushing hares for the running dogs. Sure one of the lads will stick it up mate. Hurlock 1 Quote Link to post

Cheers D'ont know whether a bushing dog is what you need, most hares lie out in fields, not bushes or heavy cover, some lie on the edge of fields and woods in bad weather but on open land maybe use a pointer or any of the HPR breeds, I used my GSP's in the 70's and early 80's for just such a thing when it was legal, atb, WM 2 Quote Link to post
R.A.W 1,987
I was thinking along the HPR breed route too. I cant see how a spaniel would be the right tool for the job Quote Link to post
