Breaking Cover

Recommended Posts

Dogs running really well not a complaint apart from not bringing the bunny back until he's killed it then he will retrieve to hand ,out last night he's trying hard as ever slipped him twist turn in the bush dog smashes in behind the bunny strait into thorn hedge missed it ,next run same again but this time smashes strait into a fence comes back cut face one paw up ? Take him home check him over seems to be fine this morning not lame .just wondered why all of a sudden he's breaking cover although he's running 100 per cent had 6 runs he caught 2 not the best I no but only local and aslong as he's trying hard I'm just happy to be out any ideas why he's started doing this? Thanks

love seeing a dog breaking the hedge certaily can up the catch rate but has its obvious flaws ie chance of injurys,iv picked and chose particular runs over the years for certain dogs ideally knowing whats in the hedge before hand plenty daytime getting out knowing the lay of the land helps but cant knock the dog for wanting them
