bugg 84
Hi all, I'm about to buy a ns50, but I have a couple of questions aimed at those who have it or have had it, If it's not quite what I'm expecting it to be can I upgrade the iluminator or is there anything else I can do, what genuine ranges do you get from yours? Bearing in mind hunting conditions are usually far from perfect lol also do you still use a lamp to see across the field or just walk with the device on and see short distance In front of you? Or is the ns200 worth the extra money? Tia Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
You can see up to a 100 metres with an NS50, but if you bought a Night Eye NE500 you could see an awful lot further for £ less.... http://www.night-eye500.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=29 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
I have both an NS50 and an NE500, the NE500 is the better system, higher resolution on the camera, nice large screen, stepless illuminator control (the NS unit clicks loudly the NE is stepless and does not make a noise), there is also a hand little on off switch on the camera body! The one thing the Night Eye loses on is the fact that it comes in a cardboard box, not a nice ABS case, but £25 at Maplins will see you with one of these... http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/flight-case-with-foam-n70ap Which you can tailor to fit your system plus a torch, etc! This makes the saving £55, but you do get a colour screen with the NE500 which you only get on the NS200, also the NE500 has a 200 yard range, like the NS200, so basically with the Night Eye NE500 you are getting an NS200 for a whopping £256 saving (including the cost of laying out on a flight case to store it in)!
