baw 4,360
i get stung every year, i was attacked at a market the other year whilst eating a burger, managed to smack a man mountain sized bloke in the chops whilst flailing my arms about like a windmill I've been stung a few times too mate but for some reason cos I couldn't see it and it followed me everywhere it f***ing spooked me. I went back the next day, getting out the car, opened the door f***ing wasp flew in. Could I get it, under the seat, f***ing everywhere. Locked it in visited my mum, went to car to go home, c**t was at the drivers side window, I opened the door as wide as it would go, f****r just floated about lol. Finally got it our, I dived in and shut the door, f****r was trying to get to me through the windscreen but it was the fear I noticed, I've never been scared of them always calmly waited and batted them down with my hand then stood on them but f**k me, I was scared of they too all the while my mums looking on shaking her head saying f***ing Jessie Btw moll, vole..... iPhone dear

baw 4,360
this summer will be the test for me, I've drowned dozens of nests in Pollybags into a bucket of water. I'm just praying I ain't lost my nerve you'll know, I left my mums pet nest there, she can cut her own f***ing grass no danger of her lawnmower getting stole
paulus 26
we use to find them in old stumps when we were kids, a tin of fly spray down the hole, block it with a sod of turf. leave it half hour then dig them out for the grubs to fish with got stung to shit and never caught a thing
baw 4,360
we used to catch as many as we could in a jam jar, all stand in a big circle on the grass, give the jar a good shake open the lid and throw it in the middle. First to chicken and run got the dumps as if it was there birthday. A good 9 of us giving you 12 punches to the back you made sure you never moved

MoChara 1,632
I handle straw and shavings every day and usually have a few cuts on my hands most days if even just a scratch. This threads made me think twice about carrying on working with either with an open wound of any kind ..... MC; Don't let it spoil ye life. Just a pair of every day rough leather, or rubber gloves will keep ye hands safe. The most basic hygiene ~ like washing ye hands as ye come in from handling the straw ~ will probably ensure ye make old bones. For those in regular contact, day long, with dodgy shit though? Disposable, Nitrile gloves are the way to go I have a tiny bit of ocd about washing my hands, thats why they're in a had state my skin cracks in mostly in the webby bits lol But your spot on have to carry on regardless. And as for the dodgy shite, im about that most of the day too ffs...... and I dont just mean my fella I'm so sorry if I've put you off doing your work didn't mean to scare munger anyone.please carry on regardlessnot at all.. goodness take alot more than that to put me off lol Good knowledgeable thread to bring all of these different things to light
