well things did'nt work out to good with " Alf " he had the gameness but lacked the speed and just could'nt turn.. so i was lucky enough to buy this dog in from a mate of mine... he's a genuine first cross wheaton/greyhound and is 28" ats, he takes all quarry with ease, and i can honestly say he does this better than 90% of bull crosses i have seen over the last few seasons..

he's definately a first cross...i know the man that bred him out of a well known and very game wheaton dog from ireland..i know most are a bit on the small side as i've seen a few around 22"-24" but i was talking to a bloke in ireland that had a few from 26" upwards but i cant vouch for whether these were genuine first crosses.

p.s his litter sister is 24 1/2" ats but i'm told he has a litter brother around the same size.

i'm not up on genetics... but i do know he a first cross....it would'nt make a bit of difference to me though if he was'nt as long as it does what i want it for..

there is pups out of this dog to a pure greyhound that are all a sandy colour though.
