A Bit Ferreting, Digging & Dry Wall Dyking With Eddiet & Bpr & Bpr Jr

So arranged to look at a bit permission that EddieT has acquired not too long ago.

BPR came to mine and Eddie picked us up from there, this bit Eddie has I done it a few years ago and it wasn't the worst place I've ferreted but certainly not the easiest.

So walking through wood I see a bunny drop in a wee set beneath a holly bush, set nets and in with a ferret one bolts out an unetted hole but still manage one from this. First in the bag.

Continue up the wood and Ted gives a positive mark on a 10ish holer. Nets down and continue up wood let this one settle, ted again marks positively at a 12 holer, so set nets here too.

Walk back down to the first set and enter ferret, a quick bolt and it slips a poorly set net but still manage 3 out of here two clean bolts (one a big bruiser with no ears and the c**t bit me!!) and one that almost slipped the net held by Ted.

Onto the next one and ferret in, it was then Eddie noticed a net unset and the draw leading into the hole, we can only assume the one that slipped the net at the first set got back netted here. Another solid bolt and we had two, BPR said he could feel rumbling under him and the ferret hadn't appeared in some time, so out with t bar and spade depth of around a foot, started digging and the commotion must have shifted the rabbit as squealing in the mouth of a hole produced rabbit with ferret attached to it. So in total 3 out this one too.

Further up the wood kicked up a hare and as I watched it go in the distance I noticed a wee bunny slip into a 5 holer at a dry wall to the right, so nets down again ferret in and one quick bolt held by Ted. As Eddie grabbed rabbit he said another rabbit appear at mouth of hole and disappear back down. Reset net and waited a little longer, the tell tale squeal and we knew another rabbit was about had a listen and traced it to a small hole going under an old dry wall. BPR set about stripping it stone by stone and we soon had number nine. After rebuilding wall another tell tale squeal......... Same bit lol. So again it came apart and we were at 10. Light was fading quick so called it a day at that, 10 bunnies from a not so giving area isn't bad. Some were harder fought for than others but happy with the bag and just being out.

Some pictures, and thanks for reading.

You can't blame the boy for the netting :tongue2: and them rabbits hurt don't they   I'm laughing typing that

I think it was a net I put down tbh, it was difficult to get to and I thought it was set well enough, and regards to the bite it was more the shock of the wee c**t going for me!
