You aint seen a lot and you aint seen a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen many. And seem them take all quarry but can't kennel them with other dogs can't trust them around kids. Whatever happened to the laid back lurcher

I've owned a few bull xs and not one of them has been any bother good with other dogs and good with kids like said in other posts I think it's how you rear them jmo. The one I've got at the min is brilliant with my 3 year old daughter and with my terrier who it shares a kennel with. Atb pal

The biggest problem faced by the bullx type of lurcher is often the nugget holding the lead, dogs are bred for the image rather than work ethic.A decent bull type lurcher will suit a certain type of hu

iv read some bollox comments on here before now and thats up there with the best of them

If your mates had/has a few and they are all untrustworthy dogs, it say's more about your mates I'm afraid.

I dont keep bull x's to look hard or as a penis extension .....cos i aint got one :D I keep them because as house dogs and trustworthy working dogs i have found them to be the most biddable easy to train dogs going. Useless as guards, if someone approached me in the middle of a field in the dead of the night they would be licked to death.

I'm not trying to say they are better than any other breed, they are not, get two dominant dogs together and there will be a fight, just as there would be with any breed. But if someone has them and they are dangerously out of control, not safe around children or dogs, then it is either down to the owners or is a rare screwed in the head dog. Because they genuinely are soooo easy to train.

Mine have always been 1st generation, 1st crosses. From my observations i think the problem seems to lie with more line bred bull x's. Idiots who seem to think aggressive dogs make better hunters and are breeding aggressive dogs to aggressive dogs. Anyone else noticed the same?

you prob read few times Moll about Tug a 1x staffx grey, he was the 1st bullx grey 26in 70 odd lb black+brindle+white i ever seen work, and he just feckin awesome he kill foxes like rats as a jack would, catch rabbits anything on 4 legs was game to him, lol and few lads on here seen him work, he was still going great at 10 years old .He came from some very old lines from the black country, and some of his pups were good dogs.He was great with people and ok with other dogs wouldnt start nout, but christ could he finish it  i know what you mean Moll some 1xs do seem bit differnt temps to line bred, maybe the greyhound temp comes through stronger in a pure 1x than line bred? just a thought mate .?

so you two are saying the more line bred the more chance of a man eating child killing dog fighter, give your heads a shake thats pure rubbish.

no not sayin, that at all . just 1xs ive seen and been round were bit differnt in temp to other line bred xs.But suppose bottom line is all dogs are differnt in temp even from the same litter, so its comes down to each dog then and not how the % is .either way all the bullxs ive seen work and been out with them were ok regards temp .!

I think all dogs will fight if not brought up propley but its just if a bull x has a fight they tend to cause more damage than most I am very carefull with mine a round other dogs just incase has has had a couple of fights and I worry a lot more than if my labrador have a fight its just there mentality when they loose their heads they are strong and do more damage

lol moll that made me chuckle lol in what way are line bred bullx less reliable lol does it only happen in bullx ? lol

:D

I never said all line bred were less reliable, it must have translated wrong in my post, ive tried reading my post backwards but I'm damned if i can find the subliminal message about them being child killers

You know some of the types who get bull breeds, want them to look and act big and hard. Their dog wants to kill everything it see's so it must be good....so they breed it with their mates similar dog. Aggression can be inherent in breeding. I haven't heard of many unusually aggressive bull x's but the ones i have have been line bred, or owned by dickheads :D
