Ukip Says Let Syria Refugees In Uk

Ok someone tell me, great Britain is the provider of financial aid ,food etc but when there's some disaster here or this country is finally on its knees ,who's going to bail us out?

IF we were ever in a situation like any of these other countries in crises then I see no reason why the great powers of the world would'nt give us assistance, militarily, financially or otherwise. But that's never gonna be a concern of ours.

Your An Optimist Mate As I'm Certain They'd Give Us NOTHING . . And Plenty Off It !!

And you're a pessimist, lol. I'm a realist, I'm looking at the world as I see it. When a country is in crises the great powers of the world tend to take notice. Their intentions may not be pure but they DO take notice and give assistance. If we had a civil war and a 2M refugee crises do you not think the EU, the yanks, the Aussies, the Kiwis etc etc would just say 'f**k em'?

Oh Your Talking About Countries Who Are Stable !!! I Took It You Where Referring Too The Countries We Are Bending Over Back-Wards For . . Syria , India , Pakistan Ect . . Now Being A Realist Id Say We'd Be Fukced If Ever The Day Came When We'd Have Too Rely On This Lot !!

I'm on the same hymn sheet as lab .... when we have thousands of people in our own country relying on food parcels to feed their kids ... Pensioners dying from the cold because they can't afford to he

Compassion states that you would take some in though Scott. Some deserve our help   Unfortunately our Govt has caused us to hate so many people that we forget to be human sometimes

That's just plain common sense. We have a moral obligation to care for refugees. UKIP aren't the nazi party! LOL   More common sense from a common sense party!

youre fookin right, were was the help to the englishman when he lost his house because he lost his job,, couldnt put bread on the table to feed his family. Makes my blood boil, the banks couldnt get you out the house fast enough. About time they got their priorities right.

Was that Englishman not entitled to the various benefits our welfare state has to offer? Was that Englishman not able to take out a very small insurance policy protecting his mortgage for life in the case of loosing his job?

We're talking a few refugees, not the whole of Pakistan.

Is their an insurance plan to cover a mans dignity, Its not our welfare state anymore.

More common sense from a common sense party!

Moral obligation?? Do we not have a moral obligation to our own people first mate? If every other country was taking in 500 then I'd agree....bet there not though eh??

Of course we do, so what would you like us to do?

Taking in our fair share of refugees won't hurt us at all but will benefit us in our foreing affairs.

I can tell your not going to like this answer but it's not our problem so they'll just have to get on with it. Maybe if in time when we stop dishing out millions our little country can be a wealthy one and then is see no problem in offering help in anyway. Until then..... f**k them!!!

Pensioners dying from the cold because they can't afford to heat their house people having to decide between heating and food .... Every penny this government gives in foreign aid is money directly out of our pockets .........

I'm completely indifferent to your answer, it's your opinion and we're having a debate. I can sympathise with it but don't agree.

And I may be inclined to agree, but the way things are in the world currently the major players tend to be fairly compassionate.

And those countries who have a different 'moral outlook' to us who we give aid to, that's simply a case of I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine. We benfit from it, trust me.

We either accept it's right to give aid when just or we say it's not. If we accept it's right then it's a subjective matter where we draw the line... Everything we have? Or just a pack of peanuts?

Syria is experiencing one of, if not, the greatest refugee crises in human history as a result of a civil war that we have decided not to end, rightly or wrongly. So all these refugees, where have they gone? A fair percentage to Turkey I believe, a Nato ally of reasonable strategic important due to it's position in the middle east. So all of us 'out of the way' states who are supposed to be Turkeys allies just say "f**k ya, you take them all, we're not doing shit, not our problem Jack", I wonder how Turkey might then respond to any of our future requests?

That's just an example I've cooked up. It's all a game... foreign aid, refugees, their just plays we have and currently we choose to play them. I think that's wise.

Security, trade, alliances, contracts..... I'm not saying the amount of aid we give is right, I'm not saying it goes to the right people, I'm not saying it's always worth while but I do believe the concept of giving aid and supporting people that are suffering, to some subjective degree, is the correct thing to do.

Right and wrong is so black and white....... I see a lot of shades of grey!

I just wish politicians would be honest with their intentions. We invaded Iraq because of the oil, private American companies and the American defence industry have made billions in profit in Afghan and the war in Syria is allowed to carry on because Russia has massive interests tied up there, including a naval base I believe.

If a politician held up there hands and said, hey this is what happened but its a dirty world, I would respect them a lot more.

I love the line from the film "Shooter".....................this is the only country in the world were you could say this wars not about oil and they would believe you......................sums up politicians to me.

However if someone knocked on my front door and said, can I come In, I will be killed if I go back home, I would let them in and protect them but they would not be living with me permanently.

. I totaly agree we have let governments sell off are utilitys for the last 40 years , lining the pockets of the in the know select group of people to gain from the rape continued with the sale of royal mail who's land bank is worth more than the north sea oil done under the radar. , but we still have a humanitarian role to play this gesture by ukip makes there case even stronger , its out of the eu we want not out of the human race or international community Edited by gonetoearth
