mhopton 807
Well at seven month old my pup blade was going out for his first lamping trip, My self and my 13 year old son Callum set of in the van around half 9 , a short drive (45mins)we arrive,I must say at this point I thought I might of been chucking him in at the deep end as the night was perfect strong winds light then heavy showers . So into the first feild first lamp around and a good number of rabbits sitting out so lamp of got a bit closer then our Callum started to giggle on I'm like what !! He just said this should be fun ! A shake of my head on with the lamp a rabbit sitting tight 10-15 yards blade already got the sent and seen it and started pulling a deep breath from me and he's off , what happened after that was unbelievable me and Callum were in shock blade was corseing the rabbit up and down the edge of the field and turned back out then strike he got it and to add more shock he retrieved it to hand.well to say I was gobsmack is a under statement .that was the only 1 we got last night out of six runs but the 5 he mist would be hard for a older dog so we headed home proud and my worst fears laid to rest . the future looks good for blade and full of promise ATB mark Quote Link to post

mhopton 807
Cheers mate he's been coming ferreting with me since he was five month marks and runs the nets very good but never really give him a chance to run at them that often tbo . it was good to see him on the lamp working and with no other dogs around he just seems to get in the zone which is really pleasing . ATB mark, and best wishers for the new year Quote Link to post
