Slip Leads

i just use these when i need to at night, one finger under the rope at the back of the neck and their away,

thats alright if you have big dogs i would need to be about 4 foot to do that with my we dogs lol

 

take a vertically challenged mate with you then :laugh::laugh:

I gave two away were not that reliable...

I have a single one of those made by Mr Jackson, no spring just a pin inside a brass barrell, more reliable than the springs IMO.Nice bit of kit, used to use it a lot when we were coursing before the

Piece of string does the job ,,mind you kinda hurts your hands if the busterd pulls

for lads that don't want to run with a collar on get a bit of nylon webbing stitch a loop handle on both ends and stitch a d ring in on the center line feed the webbing back through the d ring to form a slip collar job done nowt fancy take about 10 minutes to make one at a cost of about 2quid . :thumbs:

1 I have the cord runs inside the leather work down to a brass bar that holds the pin which when pulled releases 1 side of the collar just like the coursing slip lead does

I have a single one of those made by Mr Jackson, no spring just a pin inside a brass barrell, more reliable than the springs IMO.

Nice bit of kit, used to use it a lot when we were coursing before the ban.

 

For lamping I use a gun dog rope lead, that way you can run them without a collar.
