unicornleather 60
I used to slip my Lurcher after rabbits with the old type which I made with a short handle, I used a length of polypropylene webbing sewn together on the machine to house the line and made a nice a leather lurcher collar for it to work with. The fittings I got from my saddlery supplier.Worked well. Edited December 27, 2013 by unicornleather Quote Link to post

Sirius 1,391
1 I have the cord runs inside the leather work down to a brass bar that holds the pin which when pulled releases 1 side of the collar just like the coursing slip lead does Y.I.S Leeview I have a single one of those made by Mr Jackson, no spring just a pin inside a brass barrell, more reliable than the springs IMO.Nice bit of kit, used to use it a lot when we were coursing before the ban. For lamping I use a gun dog rope lead, that way you can run them without a collar. Edited December 27, 2013 by Sirius 3 Quote Link to post
