Do you mean the slip lead where the cord fits over your wrist and you hold the wooden toggle? releasing the toggle to slip the dog

no mate 2 leads one thin one thick onto a ring and bar with a spring on collar atached to bottom then other goes behind the bar

It's called the Altcar slip lead ,I've an old double one and a newer single one . too fiddly for me.I use a flat lead with the toggle cut off, looped through a collar the loop kept on the wrist

I gave two away were not that reliable...
