This riflle has an old cut down vmach spring from my old hw97 .177 hence the low power. but its good enough for me.

im going to be stripping and giving both the 77 and 97 a thorough polish over the next few days to see if theres any power increase I have chronoed before, but im off out tomorrow to see how different the chrono reads outside compared to indoors with dodgy lighting :laugh:

Just hope the 98 and 100 aren't actually that inconsistent!! :huh:

I thought it said in the instructions not to use under artificial light. :hmm:

dunno haven't read them lol

they sell a lighting add on thing that's about 70 quid!

im going to try it out in the field tomorrow and see how different it reads!

Typical man eh? Instructions are for wimps. :laugh:

I have an F1, it's always been near impossible to get readings from it indoors or even on very grey overcast days outdoors. But I guess if you want fine tuned accuracy from it, then it's going to need only optimum conditions in which to work. Can't comment about other chronos, never owned or used any others.

hi Skott

artificial light is a :nono::nono:

you might want to make your self a jig,to sit the rifle in,each time you test it.make sure its between the sensors,and make sure its the right distance away from the sensors,Si uses one and we get correct readings due to the correct ways to use it :thumbs:

oh yes! they are erratic readings :laugh:
