had a look today when i was getting the elder's but all the netles were seeded so just left it was disapointed but was as i expected . do you pick every berry of the bunche's of elder berrys?

 

where would you find the jap knotweed etc as id be up for giving it a go do you just eat these as a snack or along with ......

 

been looking for mushrooms but havent seen any and wouldnt know what to look for so would prolly be best leaving the shrooms lol

living here I do miss the " bull rush hearts"... Its the bit in the middle, where the plant starts to spread. Its abit smelly,when you pull them out of the mud, but once cleaned and prepared, they are great.

Aye it took me ages to find the nut but once you get the knack they are tasty one of the best wild foods for munching early in the year.

Scuba1 theres a lot you can do with the bullrush and like you say there stems low down are tasty enough.

 

Jack by the hedge is done now its garlic mustard great young leaves for a wild salad.

Kreet dont go eating anything you cant properly identify mate theres plenty out there that not do you any good mate especially the shrooms.All the above are good snacking tackle mate but the bullrush stems are better cooked.
