meself I wud not buy a dog whats doing the bizz,,,,, I find getting a dog to a good standard,from scatch,,, his better than money can buy,,,, and go,s for lamping or coursing,,,,,,,,

Why should a coursing dog cost more than a lamper ??? .........

Exactly the prices are far higher for a coursing dog because there is money to be made in the field BUT that doesn't mean that the honest hard working lamping dog that's putting away 40's and 50's two

Personally I think a good lamping dog 2 years old or so is worth that kind of money,,, but then any dog that's 2 year old and good at its particular trade is worth that much,,, be it courser,, lamper of rabbits,, ferreting dog,, fox dog,, whatever..

My problem is I never have 500 quid spare for such a dog,,,,bit of an elitist atitude though p***y

lol whats elitist mean :blink::thumbs:

5 quid for a dead rabbit?.... Can you still get a 5 quid,, for a hundred at a time,, twice a week ?

only takes 20 a week mate i wish he did take 200 a week id be investing in some ferrets and nets lol

Nice to have a good customer like that,,, always worth looking after them with the best cleanest rabbits,, wish I ad a few at that price

Elitist ,,, is you thinking a mere rabbit lamping dog ain't worth as much as a coursing dog...

never seen any lamping dog sell for over a grand but seen a good few coursing dogs fetch a lot more aswell what i ment was the price seems to be getting high now for a lamper they used to be 50 quid ish you would get a good un for 80:thumbs:

fair point ken, both if good at there jobs, will give the owner the same pleasure from each dog.Its just as hard to keep+feed+fit a lamping dog ,doing 2-3 nights a week on all quarry that it sees, as a top coursing dog doing 4 from 4 2-3 days a week.And yet a top coursing dog can knock couple grand , and lamping dog 2-400 quid if your lucky :yes: ive never really understood why :hmm:
