Thanks everyone. .Fitchet the Boots dog will be 15 months old next week..coming along fine..early days but from what ive seen he isn't one to loiter about when running lol..hes a real desperado,throws himself at his quarry,upside down and all of that..I quite like him infact I always slightly favoured him of the two but had anyone shown an interest in him instead of Fife he would be gone and id of been more than happy to have the other...he doesn't do alot wrong in all honesty so next season will see what he is capable of? Ive not rushed the dog,hes nowhere near filled his frame but he knows his job so it won't be as if he's starting from scratch as a 22 month old dog after the summer..we are all different rearing our dogs and im just sticking to the routine ive done for a wee while now lol..thanks again..Atb Andy

Was a good old hyke even though it was Boltic I was sweating like a pig walking them hills.

 

The dogs ran well. I'm happy with Fenn she's not two yet and only her first season she's took every game possible with a lurcher, turning into a handy all rounder day and night.

 

Back out in the morning with the terriers game bird protecting

Ain't that the truth lol..back, knees could both do with being renewed ..just about rattling when im mobile..12 tablets a day is the norm but somedays its more ...he will learn Paul..he comes in soaked to the bone nigh on every day or night after messing on with the mutts..his hip is already bothering him and hes only 21 haha..him and my other lads tell me they are gonna take me out in a wheelchair when im totally fooked haha..might not be long in coming lol

After preparing our Xmas dinner last night,myself and my lad were up at 4.00am to get the dogs sorted and headed off at 5.30am with his scruffy mutt Fenn and Boots the Saluki x...we had a canny wander and by the time we reached the ice and snow on the higher slopes we finally came across what we were searching for ") Seen a few way in the distance but not a chance of a spin..not at first anyways..
