Forbes 2
Hello everyone, Merry Christmas I have recently decided to upgrade to a Weihrauch hw100, but I cant decide on either the carbine or the standard. I have been looking into it for quite some time and have decided to get the thumb-hole stock and i am definitely getting it in.22. But can anyone tell me what is better out of the carbine or the standard? Just some-things like the shot count, accuracy and weight. Thanks Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
Hi and a very merry Christmas to you I have had both full length and carbine ,sold the full length to get the carbine . I still have the carbine in 22 , shot count on the standard cylinder is about , its far better balanced , accuracy is fantastic and weight is the same as a r10 about 3.1kg . I have put A&M cylinder on mine and the shot count is now about 110 and its made it lighter and even better balanced than before . Over all its one of the best guns out there as it comes with 2 mags and a silencer. If I had to choses one of my guns to keep it would be my HW100KT .22 hope this helps Quote Link to post

Deano88 9
I have the carbine 22 thumbhole left hand variant and by far the best air rifle I have ever owned. Im not a pro by any standard but have been able to put 3 pellets pretty much into the same hole at 30 yards on bipod. The trigger is a one of the best 2 stage triggers I have used and the simplicity of the magazines say compared to a Theoben Rapid is chalk and cheese. Don't quote me on this but im sure I have also read it is impossible to cycle 2 pellets through in error but I have not tried this and wouldn't want to As above, a lot of people on the Weihrauch owners forum swear by the A&M cylinders but I have not really felt the need to have more air when just stalking the occasional bunnies at night. The silencer is high quality also, no need to replace it. I would also highly recommend the MTC viper connect scope. Have had one on this rifle for over a year and in bright sunlight, lowlight and using nightvision with a handycam stuck to the back have found it faultless. Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Yeah I think the standard cylinder and silencer are more than good enough. my KT balances perfect for me, if I was to fit a A&M cylinder I think it would be too light lol Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I have an HW100 KT in .22, put mine over the Chrono and get 96 full power shots before it falls off. Another one of my keeping rifles, actually all my rifles are now keeping rifles, must get out shooting more this year! Quote Link to post

Daz39 962
Well after all the noodle arms lot, I have the 100T full size thumb hole. I get 110 shots from a full fill 200 down to 100bar. It's in 177 flavour. Cracking gun, accurate as you like. Works a treat on the rabbits. Can't get on with these "little toy" carbines haha. Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I think small and pointy is better than too long, even tho the full length rifle is only a few inches longer.? still heavy is better and I have absolute noodle arms! the kt with the standard cylinder is perfect for me. only thing I think could make it better would be adj. buttpad 1 Quote Link to post
