Phil Lloyd 10,738
whats peoples views on this x.ive seen 3/4s and half x work but never actually seen a 5/8 work.ive had two 3/4 bred over the years very fast but lacked a bit in stamina.surely the 5/8s would have plenty stamina and speed.whats your views lads and is anybody breeding any soon...have a nice xmas all. Thanks dustyj A few years ago,..I took a bitch on for training... She was an exceptionally well made, beautiful creature,.and she could spin rabbits and hares over real sharpish,..however,..I found her prey drive to be off the richter scale,... I tried every trick that I knew, but she still ragged several sheep and goats,..so...it was goodbye Vienna.. The 3/8 x 5/8 combo, in lurcher production, is not a new concept,..although from a commercial aspect, it is a sensible option, ....and the resulting progeny definitely look the part. Stabs 3
Socks....was that the dog that went to Yorkshire about 10/11 years ago? Quote Link to post
Moorman 1 1,349
What does he think that people did with lurchers before the mighty bulldawg hit the British shoreline. With the 3/8 5/8 if you pick the right pup you get more speed than a first x more stamina and robustness than a 3/4 so in effect the best of both worlds.I had one years ago and he certainly wasn't just a coney dog.27 1/2 TTS and 40 kg.
