perthshire keeper 1,239 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Share Posted December 24, 2013 the same as i have done on 90% of my ferreting trips.....use field craft set up nets silent downwind and use your loaf where you can ferret and cant...and a 6-8ft lenth of barbed wire has saved the day many times........ and as you have guessed i dont have a locator Quote Link to post

Paulus the dog I have now tears lumps out of the ground if hes above the ferret in a stop end its great to see a dog work along a set, moving with the rabbit waiting for a bolt........ I have a bitch that does exactly the same she will never leave a set if there are rabbits still in there I have been ferreting for 60 years and she is the best I have had and the second best I have ever seen the best being a bitch that my dad had Sam Quote Link to post
