I went for a wonder this morning and there wasn't much about, but I spied a pigeon on low branch just above a bush. I took aim with my old .177 smk 19 and took it out with a head shot! As it fell to the floor and its wings thrashed around for a few moments I felt pleased with my kill. Then out of no where a cat jumped from the bush and tried to run off with my dinner! I quickly chased the cat away and returned to collect my kill!

That is great deprive the moggy, then remove the breasts from the bird. Nice wrapped in bacon and pan fried in garlic oil....

 

Else you can make a small pigeon pie with one bird, sort of enough for one or two people.

The cats love it when I'm dove shooting on the farm the buggers wait under the trees and before they hit the floor there is always at least 3 on them makes me chuckle,

I shot a pidgeon from my bathroom window once, as it fell a cat ran out of no where, jumped and took it while it was still about 5ft from the floor, always remember that
