To any young hunters out there.......   IF your dog breaks a leg while out lamping go straight to the vets or take matters into our own hands.   DO NOT leave a dog to suffer over night for the sak

if he gives up he was in the wrong game gafer sorry to here about it but thats hunting

painkillers wont fix a broken leg if your mate cant do right by his dog when it injures itself he dont deserve to own one

I don't get it - why not insure your dogs? It costs peanuts a month and covers vet fees.

and where do you insure yours........ive just tried 3 different companies and none will insure a working / hunting dog ?
think you need to tell them its a pet lol
then its void so pointless

can pets no have accidents just going by what other people have said never had a dog insured and never will

kinda what i thought, in order for it to cost peanuts i'd have to commit fraud, if they found out it would be null and void, vets rip the piss out of the insurance system as far as ive seen, don't believe in it myself but had to check it out, bottom line if you can't afford a vet don't have a dog

dont talk so stupid r lasses bro just had to have his rotty pts as was going to cost 6000 in fees not many people can pull 6000 out of fresh air mate you get a dog and hope to god nothing does happen when it does you have to weigh up his quality of life after the treatment aswell its ot all bout the fees but alot of dogs are pts because of fees and the robbing tw@ts the vets are if the costs were reasonable it wouldnt be an issue for hardly anyone

just coming on here and telling the world you couldnt be fcuked to sort your animal out because of money is asking for the police and rspca to kick your door in.

read it right you will see the dogs been to vets and I haven't said I couldn't be arsed to sort it out coz of money plus the dog ain't mine

so why do you feel the need to come on here and tell the world you left a dog in pain with a broken leg till the morning, theres no excuse you broke it so do right by the animal and sort it not leave it in pain, just my opinion.

I can't afford vets prices. Hence insurance.

How on earth would they every prove the dog is not a pet?

Can a pet not get skin tears or broken legs?

That's a shame gaffer,, was it to bad a break,,,?

I know some dogs recover well and go onto work for the rest of there lives,, but sadly lots don't ...

ye tomo very bad it had dislocated it and snapped in 3 places just under the wrist the vet gave him 2 options on a lead for the rest of his life or pts this dog couldn't do lead for the rest of its life so only 1 option really

Fork me .......It just gets better !!!!!!!!!

I've dislocated my shoulder a few times and I can tell you it forking hurts no matter what you do. Granted you can minimize the pain of a break but anyone with just a little bit of knowledge would of been able to make that difficult decision without hours of suffering.

I know it's not your dog so the decision wasn't entirely in your hands.

I know that if i took my dog to my vets at 2am with its leg in bits they wouldnt be asking me how it happened, they would see pound signs and get me the insurance claim form.

Fraud is nothing to what is admitted on here most days. Lol
