To any young hunters out there.......   IF your dog breaks a leg while out lamping go straight to the vets or take matters into our own hands.   DO NOT leave a dog to suffer over night for the sak

if he gives up he was in the wrong game gafer sorry to here about it but thats hunting

painkillers wont fix a broken leg if your mate cant do right by his dog when it injures itself he dont deserve to own one

Shame That.......... but what about a 24 vet or taking matters into your own hands ?

not for £450 to sit there doing nothing they left mine overnight then said come get ya dog at 8.30 following morning to the tune of £450 so I gave the dog some pain killer the lads had a rough time just of late too

bad news for sure but great gesture, i hope he realises that these accidents are few and far between but are part and parcel of the game and takes you up on your offer, i've been close to tears carrying a dying dog into a vets (rip brinnie) after an accident out ferreting but that was about 30yrs ago ........not nice, sad but part of it i'm afraid

Sorry to hear that, but as said its part of the game, run a dog, fly a hawk, whatever, there is always a chance of injury, back in the 80s, I used to take a mates gorgeous blue merle out when he was working and I had a day off in the week, did it for a couple of years incident free, then one day she took a tumble chasing a rabbit, and broke her leg, he had her put down, and blamed me, we fell out big time over that, but all the dog lads we knew all said it was not my fault to him, taught me a lesson though, borrow a car and bend it, you can mend it, but if an animal gets hurt you cant, and they blame you.
