If feeding meat use a lower protein complete, I use around 20 to 24% A lot depends on what the dog is doing, ie a few long runs or multiple sprints over a night etc and it is something that would

Feck C Joe stop stressing lol, you don’t add the two but average them, so mixing 28% with 20% gives half way between ie 24%. Give me a call and I’ll go through it in more detail if you want.   In t

That makes no sence,, fat is fat,, and protein is protein

The thing is lads...there's protein and there's protein and it all depends on what sort of protein.

For example, peanuts are over 50% protein but your average lurcher wouldn't run very well on a diet of those.

Basically forget the protein % and feed a balanced diet , or a dry food that has been formulated for working dogs. JMHO>

Its deffo meat chunks..

Bits of beef, chicken legs & god knows what other bits..

I kept it in my pocket for training treats pups love it..

i use the same stuff but i boil it up with pasta

Why though? Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to use real meat that hasn't been processed?

Sorry if I'm missing the point.

You get a pig trotter raw from butchers and its 20 odd % protein..

Get one from a pet shop dried at its 54% so I just though because its dry - nee moisture ..

I just bought It for a try Gaz.. I will get anther sack, its handy to have in..

Would rather give that, than no meat at all..

they just add fat to make it more protein the bags of dried meat are high in protein because there is lot of fat in it

Well as dogs derive their energy from fat and not carbs as we do then it will do them more good than harm if you are working them hard enough imo? I use it and still add even more fat lol..like Giro said having a sack of it in is handy..especially over xmas when a fella ain't got time to wipe his arse for kids doing his brain in let alone fighting on with a pack of dogs haha..merry xmas folks..have a good un..Atb Andy

when feeding raw i dont see the point of feeding 28% which a lot of Lads on here do, even though they say their dogs do well on it, I always use a 20% as a mixer, at present Im using Gain Greyhound 20% but Im waiting on samples from CSJ dog foods, will give them a try, although not too happy if they use Beet Pulp.

Aye say you have a lb of fresh steak..

It would break down protein, Fats, mineral vits moisture or am I wrong.. ??

If its dried, its less moisture so the % of everything else, in that unit goes up ??

I might be totally wrong..

Where is Sandymere

Spot on.
