Hi all anybody know where you can get some cheap poles from?

Depends on what you mean by cheap... Ebay, around £30 for 10, 10mm, 1 meter fibreglass long ones. Or free, the sap should be down in the hazel now.

go and ask at your local golf course for old flag poles thats what i did atb

ive got a set up with the green metre long 11mm plastic covered metal ones from garden centres £1.90 each they are ok in soft ground may struggle in frost plus i use a tensioning peg on each end if needed

I've the green ones as well but hard ground they just bend

I`d leave them green ones in the garden centre.. They have been mentioned on here a few times over the years, with not a lot of good said about them. The fibreglass ones are £26 plus postage. For the extra 70p a pole, I know what I`d buy. I think they come with grommets too,

If cost is the main thing then you'll not beat hazel as its free. get some cut now while the sap's down.

I just buy old tents from car boots and use the poles from them just ct the elastic if you have really soft ground your need two together and I stick mine with gorillia glue

_{I know fibreglass poles are expensive, but for quick sets, I wouldn't bother using anything else, but like the Hazel for my traditional.}
