Outlaw Pete 2,224
The thing about this micro chipping; How many times have we heard of someone being told, by the police, that a reading only proves it's their chip. It makes no statutory right of ownership of the Dog containing it though. Thus they tend to fall back on the old " Possession is nine tenths " thing and wash their hands of it. Leaving the Dog with who ever has it. I'm sure I've read of this actually happening to people on here. So, I don't think it's just apocryphal. Anyone ....?
Astanley 11,580
Stolen lurchers and terriers are only of use to lurcher and terrier folk ,, every theft is widely broadcast on the internet sites ....so I can only assume that there are some dirty, despicable , cowardly thieving lurcher and terriermen about
DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
A fella I was working with last week had his dog go missing, two years later he had a call from a vet 60 miles away saying they have had his dog in and the microchip details did not match the details of the people who took her in......... The vet gave him the details of the new owners. He phoned them up and said hes coming to pick his dog up and he did. When he got there she pissed herself with excitement when she saw him. Took her home and it ran straight to the biscuit cupboard

irishnut 297
you lads are f****d, they're obviously bringing in dog licensing, and going to use the chip in the unlicensed dog to prosecute the owner
