Hazels chestnuts and beechnuts good as they are or for making stuffing with breadcrumbs and herbs.

Ive eaten acorns as well but there best when theyve been buried a while and the skin has gone yellow.

I roast the hazelnuts in an oven, then eat them lightly salted.

I was in the Garden last week picking Hazel nuts that where ready Just they dont seem to be anywhere else around here,My garden is pure magic.

there are half a dozen hazels near me but couldnt find anything on them the other week when i looked ill check on sunday while im up there with the ferrets

Your dead lucky scuba1 mate thems real chestnuts you get in spain mind they should be bigger here this year thanks to all the rain the hazels were double the size of last years.

im getting a lift up tonight to see about some new permision so gonna have a look at the hazels while im up there and see if there's any there fingers crossed .
