Gaj1612 99
As much time as you can mate Quote Link to post
Geordieboy 23
If you can only spend 30 mins because you are busy with work, kids etc then just keep at it. If you can only be arsed to spend 30 mins because you are lazy then Ferrets are not for you. If they've not seen you for 24hrs and a hand suddenly reaches for them they going to be a bit freaked. Try and handle them even if it's for a few minutes before you go out or whatever Every little helps mate, good luck!! Quote Link to post
pie-eater 377
Id say 30 mins handling is fine. That's about what mine get most days and they are very friendly. Quote Link to post

GreyRake 108
How old are they? Quote Link to post
brucemyster 75
I open the cage to feed them and the young jill jumps on my shoulder, the two older jills bide their time till I pick them up for a little ruff and tumble, probably only handle them for about ten mins each day while feeding and emptying their litter tray, they get longer at the weekend when the hutch complex is cleaned and freshened up, they seem happy enough. Robie_n 10
Thanks for the good advice, lol hot meat the ferts don't like me touching them even more than me wife! I could defiantly have more time with them if the they didn't smell so bad n the wife was scared of them, I dernt let them loose in the garden to many escape routes might make abit of a court :-) Quote Link to post

whiteracer 258
Something like this Robie, cost me next to feck all to build and the stinkers have enough room to play about in, although I don't keep them in this all the time they only use it as a 'play pen' every other day, keeps them safe and they entertaining as feck watching them jumping about on each other!! 3 Quote Link to post
bobkizzyhugo 40
what age did you get them an how old are they. if they are this years they realy should be soft as by now. dont give up just handle them as much as posible. pick em u; put em down feed em out ya hand any contact is good. i just start handling them as kits until they understand ur not food and stop holding when they bite. then just give em to the kids to do the rest. bomb proof. litle gil in pic just a local kid wat comes to play wi ferts n walk dogs round.
