Money was not a goal see when your on ur ass with no job, 3 kids to feed paying a mortgage with whatever savings was once there.priority come first and i will always put my children ahead of any dog only reason that bitch was sold was to put food on my table But am in a better place now than 3 years ago, I gave the hunting game up 3 years ago and have lost contact with guys I hunted with. Plus there is alot of shite being bred I thought THL would have been the place to find some decent blood from real terrier men.

its going to be an impossible feat to get what your after and anyone that has one will be in full swing this time of year, sometimes you would wonder if you sell a worker have you sold your luck with it....... my advice would be to try trace the bitch and try get a pup off her and take your chances..... this time of year unless sombody is genuinely packing it in or leaving the country your only going to get sombody elses culls. faults might not be obvious on your trial but with time they will be revealed!! if you have a worker hell or high water shouldnt let you part with it. everyones circumstances are different i suppose but if my workers had to go anywhere for some very extreme reason then they would be given to the man in the sky, i wouldnt even give them to my close friends as i couldnt guarentee what would come of them down the line.

Mate I have traced the bitch and 2 pups came home with me, and have also had a previous post looking for another dog Kaiser and am getting close thanks the the genuine guys on thl, I have had a couple of offers of dogs around a year old through pm but nothing has suited me as yet, if I can get a pup out of Kaiser I will, hold onto next year and make do with the lurcher for now.

Yet again very constructive, and yet again trying to push away from what was originally asked, how come you didn't comment when I asked about the black patterdale Kaiser, everyone I speak to has heard of him or seen him work, a dog that I reared from 6 weeks and got started and when I let him go he was given back to the man that bred him no money passed hands

Point is there are people here questioning me about selling dogs, point I did not sell Kaiser I gave him to his breeder I am not here to make money if I wanted to make money from dogs I would breed king Charles spaniels or some other sort of fanny licker,

When times were so hard ,what price did u actually get for this top class fox bitch,i would give a guess around £200 and how long would that keep food on the table.We are iving in Irelandnot some poor country in Africa you were never going to starve,most of us have all at some point seen hard times but you get through it and survive.I have been in situations where i had not even contact with my dogs but they were not sold,they were kept by friends,any man that says he had to sell his dogs due to hard times well his heart was not really in it in the 1st place.

What is this Romeo and Juliet talking about heart, im looking for a dog not a wife, Christ, and like on alot of threads here people don't read the whole post I did say 250, which (not that its anyone's business) was used to pay for a boat and 2 weeks digs in a pokey flat in paisley, where I got work. Now back to the reason for this IS ANYONE SELLING A WORKING TERRIER OR ONE AT THE AGE OF STARTING??? if so pm me if not don't bother writing, simple.... I don't agree with selling dogs but I don't blame the man for doing what he done family and kids come 1st!!
