I would think that you would have no hope of getting one ready to start let alone getting a working dog mate but if you ask santa he might get u one for Xmas lol

Yea mate I always go for a trial when buying any working dog I prefer to pay the extra money for a trial, what sort of money are terriers fetching, last one I sold was wee black patt bitch, 3 seasons under her belt probably one of the best fox bitches in the country for 250quid and that's what I was offered I didn't put a price on her, told the guy to take her for a month and trial her and if he liked her to pay what he thought she was worth and that's what he paid, that wee bitch is now 7 and still going well, I have a pup out of her now for next season to start

imo if you had one of the best bitches in the country ...then you had access to decent blood and for you to think she was one of the best she must of done a lot of graft ....so with all that in mind you should be able to pick up a terrier from some where ...not come on THL when you find yourself short ... .

Have to agree mik , why would someone even part one of the best fox bitchs in the country ? Mate recently lost his bitch , no world beater but a genuine terrier and I know he wouldn't have parted her for the world and would give anything to get her back .

why would someone put all the hard work in then sell it even if they did you would have to question there outlook on dogs if money is there goal

Money was not a goal see when your on ur ass with no job, 3 kids to feed paying a mortgage with whatever savings was once there.priority come first and i will always put my children ahead of any dog only reason that bitch was sold was to put food on my table But am in a better place now than 3 years ago, I gave the hunting game up 3 years ago and have lost contact with guys I hunted with. Plus there is alot of shite being bred I thought THL would have been the place to find some decent blood from real terrier men.
