Blackbriar 8,569
I don't so much hate Xmas, as when it begins ! This year I saw a shop with the Hallowe'en stuff, the Bonfire night stuff and the Xmas stuff in consequetive aisles ! There was a woman on our local news complaining that her kids Xmas had been 'ruined', because she took them to see Santa and he wasn't fat ! It's all just reached ludicrous proportions, and has been built up to be something that can't possibly materialise ! We put most of our attentions into the grandkids these days - kids are grown up and too old to be called 'kids' anyway! All in all semi -humbug !

terryd 8,385
The money is a pain in the neck but this year I get 2 weeks off and the moon is waning I love cooking too so plenty of that to be done. As the girls have got older at least now we can get them one decent present instead of a load of tat that ends up in the bin

terryd 8,385
Best christmas I remember was the year we had big snow down this way the main roads were blocked for a few days too or it may have been few days after.I just remember it cause I could walk the dogs down middle of the main road and went to the shop to spend me fiver present. Spent the lot on cough sweets for some weird reason never breathed so clearly in all me life
gnipper 6,426
My missus calls me miserable because I try and limit what she gets/spends on the kids but we already can't move for fecking toys that belong to one kid and now were gonna get 2 loads with having the baby and a room full of tat off the family. She's the same at birthdays too and it's her mums fault for spoiling her when she was a kid, we got a main present when we were kids and were made up with it.
